Successful Pilot Run of VeggiEskwela - VeggieTech Vegetable Production Training!


The East-West Seed Foundation successfully conducted its first-ever VeggiEskwela - VeggieTech Vegetable Production Training on February 27-28, 2025, at Villar Farm School in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. This groundbreaking two-day training brought together participants, primarily from Central Luzon, eager to enhance their knowledge and skills in vegetable production.



The program featured a combination of comprehensive modules and hands-on activities, focusing on natural cultural practices and pest and disease management. Participants engaged in practical learning experiences that emphasized sustainable and effective vegetable farming techniques.

One of the highlights of the event was the ceremonial transplanting activity, attended by key representatives, including Chief of Staff Atty. Juan Miguel Perez, representing San Jose del Monte Bulacan Mayor Arthur Robes. His presence underscored the local government’s support for initiatives promoting agricultural education and food security.


The success of this pilot training was made possible through the collaboration between East-West Seed Foundation and Villar Foundation. This initiative is a step forward in empowering communities with the knowledge and skills needed to improve vegetable production, ultimately contributing to sustainable agriculture and nutrition.
