In celebration of Catechetical Month last September 12, 2025, students from Mary Help of Christians School (Pampanga), Inc. were given a unique opportunity to connect with creation through a hands-on Basic Gardening Session. The event, which brought together students from Grades 7 to 12 and MOHTIW learners, was a meaningful addition to the month's festivities.
The session was expertly led by Mr. Teodorico M. Barbosa Jr., a Registered Agriculturist and Program Officer/Training Specialist, and Mr. John Wilson DR. De Leon, an Agriculturist and Project Officer from the East-West Seed Foundation Inc. With their extensive knowledge and passion for agriculture, they guided the students through the fundamentals of gardening.
This initiative went beyond just planting seeds; it was a lesson in patience, stewardship, and the simple beauty of nurturing life—values that resonate deeply with the spirit of Catechetical Month.
The students learned practical skills while gaining a deeper appreciation for the environment and the importance of sustainable practices. It was a perfect blend of spiritual and practical education, empowering the next generation to become stewards of both their faith and the planet.
