In a joint effort to promote food security and community empowerment, the East-West Seed Foundation (EWSF) and East-West Seed Philippines’ Human Resources (HR) team conducted two HR Gulayan Training sessions in April 2025.

The first training was held on April 25, 2025, in Pagolingin Bata, Lipa, Batangas, where the EWSF team engaged 20 community volunteers in a discussion on container gardening—a practical and space-saving method of growing vegetables at home. The activity also included a community clean-up drive, encouraging participants to maintain a clean and healthy environment for planting.

The second training took place on April 28, 2025, in Ulingao, San Rafael, Bulacan. This session gathered 27 participants, including community volunteers and barangay officials. The EWSF team once again delivered an interactive session on container gardening, emphasizing its benefits for households with limited gardening space.

These HR Gulayan Training sessions are part of the continued collaboration between EWSF and East-West Seed’s HR department to support communities in building sustainable food sources and improving local nutrition through vegetable gardening.
